When Should You Hide Comments on Facebook?
Hide comments are a useful tool for page admins to use, but they should be used carefully. They can be very helpful in reducing the negative impact of certain comments and messages, but they should never be used to delete them completely or ban users from your page. In most cases, if the comment author knows that you removed facebook hide comments they will continue to spam your page with comments and posts that are damaging to your business.
Can you see if someone hides your comment?
Facebook comments are public by default, but you can restrict who sees them using the privacy settings available in your profile. To hide a post, find it on your Facebook timeline and tap the horizontal ellipsis (three horizontal dots) in the upper right-hand corner of the post. You can choose to hide the post from Friends, Friends except…, Specific friends, or Custom.
When it’s appropriate to hide Facebook comments:
Some comments are so harmful, abrasive, or inappropriate that they deserve to be hidden. This includes offensive language, sexist or racist remarks, hate speech, and inappropriate photos.
